About

Neither a studio nor a clinic

Inner Sense Consortium is a community-centered wellness space in Fort Myers. Movement, therapeutic services, sound healing, holistic retail and restorative experiences live in one building — because that's how a life actually works.

Our story

We kept meeting people who were doing everything right on paper — a class here, an appointment there, a shelf of supplements — and still felt scattered and unsupported.

Inner Sense Consortium was built to hold all of it in one place: a room to move in, a room to be worked on in, a shop that stands behind what it sells, and a free sanctuary for the part of wellbeing that isn't a service at all.

This section is placeholder copy and will be replaced with the center's own story as it's finalized.

What we believe

Four things we hold to

Whole person, not one symptom

Sleep, stress, movement, community and rest all belong in the same conversation. We treat them that way.

Under one roof, on purpose

A class, a private session, an instrument for home and a place to sit afterward shouldn't require four separate trips across town.

Access before revenue

The Community Sanctuary is free and always will be. Some of what a wellness center offers shouldn't have a price on it.

No pressure, no performance

Nobody is graded here. Come at whatever level you're at and use what's useful.

Co-Founder | Holistic Health Educator | Master Herbalist | Sound & Somatics Practitioner

My journey into holistic health began early in life, although I certainly didn’t know then where it would lead me.

I grew up in a big family in a loving home, but also one that could be volatile. As a child, I didn’t have the words to express the severe anxiety I sometimes experienced. I was never quite sure when the energy around me might suddenly shift. That strain on my nervous system affected my health and my ability to learn and concentrate.

Looking back, I can see how deeply those early experiences shaped me and, ultimately, my desire to help others better understand their own nervous systems. I also know my story is far from unique. So many of us carry experiences from childhood (all varieties of mental/emotional, physical, even spiritual) that were never fully understood or addressed and continue to show up in our bodies and the ways we move through life.

At the same time, I was fortunate to grow up around my parents’ wellness center in Iowa, where I began working at the front desk after school at age 13. Being immersed in that environment at such an impressionable age sparked a lifelong curiosity about the many ways we can care for ourselves.

For more than 25 years, my path has been shaped by study and practice in holistic health, weaving together guided mindfulness, herbal wisdom and nutraceuticals, sound and movement, therapeutic breathwork, bodywork, and somatic practices. My degree in Anthropology further deepened my fascination with how culture, community, and our connection to the natural world shape well-being.

For me, these aren’t simply modalities, they’re tools that have helped me better understand myself and navigate patterns I’ve carried since childhood. My own experiences, and the recognition that we all carry different stories, are a big part of how Inner Sense came to be: a place where people can explore what helps them feel more grounded, connected, and at home within themselves.

In my adult life, I’ve built multiple health practices as I’ve moved to various cities and states with my family, and I’m so grateful the people I’ve been able to help and experience. Ultimately, my greatest pride and joy is in raising my three kids who’ve grown into young adults. They remain each other’s best friends. My happiest moments are spent with them—hiking, traveling swimming wherever we can, and cooking foods from around the world while laughing and reminiscing.

Family, nature, curiosity, laughter, and connection are at the heart of who I am—and very much at the heart of what I hope you’ll find at Inner Sense. A place to reconnect with yourself, with others, and with the wisdom that has been within you all along.

Co-Founder | Musician | Sound Healing Practitioner

My path to Inner Sense began through music, but it took on an entirely new meaning through one of the most difficult experiences of my life.

After the sudden loss of my wife, I was introduced to sound healing while navigating my own grief. After my first session, something shifted in me. As a lifelong musician, I had always understood the power of sound, but this was different. I experienced how sound could create space for emotions that aren't always easy to put into words. I left that first session knowing this was something I wanted to explore more deeply.

I pursued my certification in sound healing and began facilitating sessions myself. Over the past year, seeing how others respond to sound, stillness, and simply having a safe space to be has only strengthened my desire to continue learning.

That curiosity has led me beyond sound as well. I’m currently expanding my training in trauma-informed breathwork and somatic practices and continuing to explore different approaches to supporting our emotional and physical well-being.

For me, opening Inner Sense felt like a natural next step.

My own experience with loss has given me a special place in my heart for people moving through grief and major life transitions. I know there isn't a shortcut through grief, and I don't believe it’s something that needs to be “fixed.” Sometimes we simply need a place where we can feel what we're feeling, reconnect with ourselves, and begin finding our own way forward.

That’s what I hope to offer at Inner Sense.

Music will always be part of who I am, and now I have the privilege of experiencing it in a completely different way—as a means of connection, reflection, and healing.

Inner Sense is a place created for people to explore, learn, connect, and discover what supports them through all the different seasons of life. I’m grateful to be able to share a piece of my own journey in the hope that it may help someone else along theirs.
